    AHA Jump Rope Team

    • Selected to perform at the 2008 GAHPERD State Conference in Atlanta, GA during the General Assembly Meeting (no other Jump Rope Team has been given this honor. Since we have performed, GAHPERD will open their yearly Conference with a performance team presentation).
    • Only Jump Rope Demonstration Team in the Metro Atlanta Area and in Cherokee County
    • Assisted Chalker Elementary in establishing a Jump Rope Club for their school
    • Assisting the Epstein School in establishing a Jump Rope Club for their school
    • Major Performancesat ten area Elementary schools

    Other Sports Achievements

    • 2008 AHA sponsored the NAML and ACCE Volleyball Tournaments
    • The Sports program requires a minimum of 1 community charity race to earn a Varsity Cross Country letter
    • Sports program has added a Middle School Baseball team and is developing a Middle School Soccer and High School Tennis program
    • The Jump Rope Team performs and promotes JRFH with the American Heart Association, and performs and promotes JRFH at AHA annually
    • 2007-2008 We raised $12,000 for American Heart Association through JRFH. The AHA Jump Rope Team and the AHA Family have raised a total of $78,925.25 for the American Heart Association for the past 5 years.
    • 2006-2007 We raised $20,516.67 for American Heart Association through JRFH.
    • 2005-2006 Top Jump Rope For Heart Event, and Top Participant Average. We raised $16,852.01 for American Heart Association through JRFH. American Heritage Academy was honored and recognized for being ranked 23rd out of 789 schools, in the state of Georgia, who participated in the JRFH program.
    • 2004-2005 Rookie School of the Year, Top Jump Rope For Heart Event, and Top Participant Average. We raised $ 14,511.56 for the American Heart Association through JRFH.
    • 2003-2004 Rookie School of the Year, Top Jump Rope For Heart Event, and Top Participant Average. We raised $ 15,045.01 for American Heart Association through JRFH

    Upper School Superlatives


  • Our students have the opportunity to participate in many different clubs, sports, and art programs which allows them to demonstrate a much broader, well-rounded college portfolio
  • Large percentage of students qualified for John Hopkins & Duke University Talented Youth Program participants
  • From our three graduating classes, our students have been accepted to 32 colleges/universities, including Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia State, Purdue, University of Alabama, University of Georgia, University of Tennessee, Louisiana State University, Furman, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical, James Madison, SCAD
  • To date our graduates have qualified for $604,800 in Hope Scholarships
  • All graduates have been accepted to a college of their choice

  • FIVE Odyssey of the Mind World's Team Competitors in FOUR years
  • AHA's Lego Robotics Team has had a team in the top 25 teams in the state of Georgia every year since 2002; 2004-State 2nd place in Projects/Presentations; 2007-Regional Chairman's Award 2nd Place; 2007-the #10 team in the state of Georgia
  • AHA's Jr. Lego Robotics Team was the first pilot team in the Southeast and is the largest team in the nation
