Cash

Most gifts to American Heritage Academy come in the form of personal checks or VISA/MasterCard credit card payments. Such gifts entitle donors to a charitable income tax deduction subject to IRS regulations. All checks should be made payable to American Hertage Academy and mailed to 2126 Sixes Road, Canton, Georgia 30114. Donations may also be made in person.

Pledges

Donors who wish to contribute but do not wish to make an immediate payment may make a pledge. A pledge is a promise to make a specified payment within the campaign period. All pledges must be paid in full by May 31 of the current school year. Pledges can be made by mail, e-mail or in person. Pledge reminder letters will be mailed annually or at the times requested in your pledge.

Electronic Fund Transfer

If you would like to spread out your pledge payments, electronic fund transfers your installment directly from your checking or savings account. An email reminder will be sent before the transfer occurs.

Stock & Securities

Making a gift of securities is both simple and tax efficient. Gifts of appreciated stock may allow a donor to avoid a capital gains tax in addition to receiving a charitable income tax deduction for the fair market value of the stock. To initiate a gift of stock, we ask that you contact the AHA Business Office.

Gifts-in-Kind

American Heritage Academy accepts gifts-in-kind if they can be used in support of the mission of the school. Such gifts might take the form of inventory given through businesses owned by donors.

Real Estate

A residence, vacation home, farm, acreage or vacant lot may have so appreciated in value through the years that its sale would mean a sizable capital gains tax. By making a year-end gift of this property instead, a donor would avoid the capital gains tax, and, at the same time, receive a charitable deduction for the fair market value of the property.

Matching Gifts

Does your employer match gifts? Many companies have a matching gift program which can double, and, in some cases, triple the value of your gift. Please check with your firm's Human Resource Department. The matching gift must be initiated by you once you have contributed to American Heritage Academy. When we receive the paperwork from the company, we can verify that your gift was made and complete the necessary documentation.

Memorial and Honorary Gifts

Memorial or honorary gifts can be made in honor of a loved one or in tribute to a special occasion. Gift acknowledgements will be sent to the family or whomever you choose. All gifts are tax-deductible.

Kroger- Earning Plus Learning
Please take this  Kroger Flyer with your KrogerPlus card to Kroger the next time you shop. All they have to do is scan your card and scan the flyer and your card is registered giving American Heritage credit.

Publix Partners Cards
Publix Partners cards are available in a basket in the front lobby of AHA if you need a new one or have never used them. This is our most successful passive fund raiser so let’s keep it going.

Target
AHA Parents Club is registered with Target Red Card as well. If you have a Target credit card and/or a Target Visa card you may register AHA Parents Club. There is no cost or anything to you, you just need to register your card. Go to www.target.com and choose "Redcards" at the top, third from the right. Scroll down and in the section on the left titled "Rewards and Benefits" choose "Take Charge of Education". Then in the middle of the screen, choose "Enroll in Take Charge of Education". Our school id # is 125183.

Box Tops for Education:
Please collect box tops all year for AHA PC. These are found on many items we purchase everyday. Information on collections will be sent home in backpack mail. One will be in October and the other will be in late January. Please go to www.boxtops4education.com for information on items that have box tops coupons.

If you look at the gift section, select the "view all categories" and you will see a very large selection including candles, gift wrap, and kitchen items. The AHA PC will make 40% on the magazines our parents purchase and 50% on the gift items. Even if we are not having an official magazine fundraiser this school year, we can still take advantage of this easy fundraiser on our own.
