Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to develop mature, independent, and confident students who achieve at their optimal level and become successful, contributing members of society.
Our School
Through intellectual, athletic, and creative pursuits, our students gain maturity while developing respect for themselves and others.
We challenge them to become resourceful, informed, responsible, and ethical citizens in the school environment, at home,
and in the community. We are enriched by the cultural differences of our students and faculty. The Academy offers the
curriculum in a collaborative, caring environment and supportive community that distinguish our school from other institutions and
help to ensure the success of our students when they move to future phases of their education.
Our Beliefs

We believe that...
- Learning through research, projects and presentations, learning in the content areas, and learning together in the school and community are the unique building blocks of our curriculum that enable students to reach their potential.
- Our curriculum affords students the opportunity to develop and apply mastery of academic, creative, and problem solving skills and to develop an appreciation of the arts, while promoting an active, healthy lifestyle that focuses on life-long learning.
- Curriculum implementation must consider the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional needs of the students.
- Students are encouraged to know and understand themselves as learners through the provision of daily opportunities for pursuit of interests, participation in hands-on activities, and interactions with peers and adults.
- Students are assessed using various tools that allow demonstrations of student learning while simultaneously guiding instruction.
- Our students are challenged with high expectations by a staff dedicated to professional growth.
- Our shared leadership and team decision-making process encourages staff involvement, innovation, and creativity.
- Consistent, ongoing communication with parents/guardians strengthens the connection between family and school.
- Cultural differences are valued and enhance our school environment.
- A safe and clean school is conducive to a supportive learning environment.
- Providing a nurturing atmosphere creates a climate in which trust and respect for self and others flourishes.
