The AHA Cheerleading program is designed to promote school spirit and provide team building and mentoring opportunities.
In addition to the upper school squad, a Junior Eagles Cheerleading program is available for grades 2 through 5, and a 'Lil Eagles
program is available for grades Pre-K 4 through 1. A Junior Coaching program was established in 2004 for the
upper school squad. The AHA Eagle mascot was added to the program in 2004.
An academic GPA of 2.0 is required for participation in
any AHA sports program.

Junior Eagles Squad (Grades 2nd - 5th)
The 2007 Junior Eagles 2nd through 5th grade cheerleaders will be cheering for the Junior Eagles Basketball teams.
Squad members are instructed on proper arm motions, jumps, basic stunting, and chants. These skills
are showcased at Junior Eagle girl's and boy's basketball games. The Junior Eagle
Squad is coached by our Upper School cheerleaders.
AHA sponsors a 2nd and 3rd grade squad that cheers
for our 2nd and 3rd grade basketball teams, and a squad consisting of 4th and 5th graders
that cheers for our 4th and 5th grade basketball teams. Due to the dates and times of practices,
students interested in both cheerleading and basketball will not be able to participate in both.
Cheerleaders are required to change out of their school uniform for practice. Squad members should
wear school appropriate shorts, t-shirt, or sweat suit to practice. For safety, we
also ask that your child wear supportive tennis shoes on practice days. (Wal-Mart
carries white cheerleading shoes for anyone who is interested). Each cheerleader is required
to order a uniform to be worn on game days. The participation fee includes uniform pieces consisting of a
t-shirt, shorts, hair bow, and socks. Cheerleaders should wear white tennis shoes with their uniform.
AHA Junior Eagles Enrollment Form
 'Lil Eagles Squad (Grades Pre-K 4, K, and 1st)
we are very pleased to announce that American Heritage Academy has teamed
up with The World of Cheer to offer the best in 'Lil Eagles cheerleading techniques and instruction.
The cheerleading squad members will be instructed in proper arm motions, jumps, basic stunting,
and chants. The skills learned will be showcased in a cheerleading performance that will take place at
half-time during the Junior Eagles basketball game.
All practices are held at The World of Cheer located on Bells Ferry Road from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
Parents are responsible to transport their child to and from the gym.
Squad members are not required to change out of their school uniform for cheerleading practice.
For safety purposes, we do ask squad members to wear tennis shoes to school on practice days.
Each cheerleader is required to order a uniform to be worn on the day of the performance.
