AHA Band
 Click here for the Band calendar.American Heritage Academy offers a comprehensive band program including beginning band and concert band.
Beginning Band
Students need no prior musical experience to be a member of the beginning band class.
The class is for 5th and 6th grade students who have never before played a band instrument.
The beginning band class meets five days each week.
Students learn how to produce a good sound on their instrument,
all of the necessary fingerings for the notes on their instrument,
how to read music, and how to perform together as an ensemble.
Students perform several concerts throughout the school year to demonstrate their progress. Concert Band
The concert band consists of students in 6th through 12th grades that have a minimum
of one year of experience playing their instrument. Concert band meets four days each week.
The class focuses on improving the individual playing ability of each student as well as ensemble performance.
The concert band performs at concerts, pep rallies, and graduation.Superior ratings at the High Note Music Festival The AHA Concert Band has had numerous students accepted by audition as participants in GMEA District 9 Honor Band, and received superior ratings at the High Note Music Festival.
