Jump Rope Demo Team

Due to the tremendous response we offer Jump Rope Club as an intramural program. It has been extremely successful, and students participating in the club learn many jump rope tricks, including the criss-cross, skier, bell, side swing, munchkin, super sonic, atomic one leg, long rope tricks, partner tricks, and double dutch. Our Club season will last for approximately a month in the fall and is designed to help the students learn and practice the necessary jump rope skills required to participate on a demonstration team. Students in grades 2nd - 7th may participate in the Jump Rope Club.

Accomplishments

  • Only Jump Rope Demonstration Team in the Metro Atlanta Area
  • Only Jump Rope Demonstration Team in Cherokee County
  • Performs and promotes JRFH with the American Heart Association
  • Performs and promotes JRFH at AHA Annually
  • Invited and performing at Epstein School in Dunwoody, GA Nov. 18, 2009
  • Invited and performing at Carmel Elementary on March 10, 2009
  • Invited and performing at Sixes Elementary Super Saturday Health Fair on March 21, 2009
  • Performed at local schools in Cherokee County
  • Boston Elementary, Woodstock Elementary, Sixes Elementary, Buffington Elementary, Hasty Elementary
  • Performed at Sharon Elementary in Forsyth County
  • Performed at Chalker Elementary in Cobb County
  • Assisted Chalker Elementary to establish a Jump Rope Club for their school
  • Assisting the Epstein School to form a Jump Rope Club for their school
  • Selected to perform at GAHPERD Convention General Assembly Meeting in Dunwoody, GA
  • Selected to be a presenter and demonstration team as a workshop at the GAHPERD Convention
  • Invited to attend the GAHPERD Convention in Savannah, GA as a presenter
  • Performs in community and serves at ambassadors for AHA and the JRFH program
  • Has up to 5 performances during the season
